don't let me down

Written in September of 2004, Don't Let Me Down expresses the joy of new love.

I finally found someone who can hold my hand like it needs to be held.

I love how you love me.

I wonder if you know what I'm thinking and I'm hoping that you can tell.

I love how you see me.

You can type it in an e-mail baby.

You can call me on the phone.

You can show me in another way,

but you'll have to take me home.

REFRAIN

So don't let me down.

Don't pass me by.

Don't make a sound.

You got me flyin' high.

Just hang around for a little while

'cause I'm 10 feet off the ground.

So don't let me down.

I finally found someone who knows what they're doin' and they do it good.

I love how you touch me.

I feel the energy coming through your fingers and you kiss me like you know you should.

I love how you hold me.

Can we make this feeling last?

Can we forget about the past?

Can we live in the here and now?

I'm hopin' you can show me how.

I feel that I'm living large when I'm lying in your arms.

I'm willing to let down my guard.

So bring it on.

I finally found someone who likes me and I'm hopin' that they're here to stay.

I like what I'm feeling.

When I look at you my heart feels funny and I never know just what to say.

I like the way you make me crazy.
