Scott Malcom: Music

I've Seen

(Scott Malcom)
December 12, 2009

Nothing really needs to be said about this one. It is what it is, and it's all true.

I've seen the sun rise

and I've seen the sun set.

I've seen the Mona Lisa smile.

I've seen the lighthouse as it shines

across the bay.

But nothing I've seen could ever make me feel this way.

REFRAIN

'Cause you love like no one ever broke your heart

and you give when everyone is taking

and that's the pretty part.

You live life like no one's ever keeping score,

and you laugh even though you've heard my joke

a million times before.

I've seen the pretty little people who

lift their lives in weights

and I've seen the quest for the American dream.

I've seen the rocks in a circle

across the ocean in England on a sunny day.

But nothing I've seen could ever make me feel this way.

REFRAIN

I've seen a hundred cathedrals.

I've seen the people in the magazines.

I've seen a tiny little tower in Paris, France.

I've seen the greatest of the greats.

I've seem Pete and Andrae play,

but nothing I've seen could ever make me feel this way.
