Scott Malcom, a native of rural Georgia, is a singer/songwriter/performer now living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Scott’s earliest musical training was in the church, and his debut album, “Shine,” retains a soulful feel reminiscent of days gone by. “Shine” is a collection of songs from his live show at The Mosaic, a piano bar that used to exist on Milwaukee’s East Side. Scott chose favorites of the audience for his first release including “You’re Still Here” and “Genealogy" for his debut album. Scott's second release "Irrational Disposition" is a collection of songs addressing a wide range of topics including acceptance, love, hate, and just plain having fun! At age 12, Scott began his formal piano training in the small town of Social Circle, Georgia, and 3 years later was studying piano with a world-renowned pianist at the University of Georgia. Classical piano was always a love of his, and his training is evident in the challenging piano accompaniments of "Shine" and "Irrational Disposition." During his performances in Milwaukee, the audience laughs, and the audience cries. Listeners have said that listening to Scott Malcom perform live is like taking a musical walk through your own past. One listener said “the songs are honest, and they relate to everyone somehow.” Though the music is sometimes funny and sometimes excruciatingly painful, it is legitimate and there for all to enjoy.
